Clubs and Activities

Athletic Club
The ECHS Athletic Club promotes physical fitness through athletics. Students participate in a variety of sports on club days and also volunteer at local youth sporting events in order to serve the Charlotte County community.

Choir
The ECHS choir enjoys singing songs of a wide variety of genres, from oldies and Broadway to recent hits. The choir enjoyed singing backup with The BoogieMen at Edison POPS at Sunset. There are many opportunities for
both solo work and group numbers in this tight-knit group. The choir hopes to showcase its hard work and lift spirits in the spring by singing at various care facilities.

Dance Club
The goal of the Dance Club is to express emotions and personalities through the art of dance. Dancers of all levels of experience are welcome and members work together to choreograph their dances. The Club includes many dance styles, including hip-hop, breakdancing, contemporary, step and cheerleading.

Environmental Club
The Environmental Club promotes environmental awareness in the school and community. The club takes part in several projects to clean up the environment and is currently working to save the sea turtles.

Key Club
The Key Club is a service club that provides volunteer services for Edison State College and the community through various activities such as beach/road cleanups, on-campus lake cleanup, etc.

Panther Players
The ECHS Panther Players is a group of students who enjoy acting and take interest in the performing arts. The Panther Players sponsor the ECHS variety show and attend the district thespian festival.

Student Government
The ECHS student government consists of elected officials of the student body. Students are chosen to take leadership roles and set up enjoyable events for the student body such as dances, spirit week and field day.

Web/Tech Club
The Web/Tech Club promotes ECHS through the internet and will soon be responsible for maintaining the ECHS Web site.
